Who decides the salary?

At Turing, every engineer is allowed to set his/her rate. However, Turing's specialists will recommend a salary at which they know you can find a fruitful and long-term opportunity to grow and succeed. Turing's recommendations are based on the assessment of market conditions and the demand that Turing sees from customers. For fixed billing, salary is processed as per amount fixed monthly and agreed in your work engagement agreement.

In the majority of cases, Turing recommends salaries that exceed what they would make in their local economies. Turing's goal is to provide engineers with stable, fruitful work and long-term learning opportunities, rather than have engineers frequently hop from one small project to another.

Transfer and withdrawal

From salary payments to the transfer of that amount to your local bank account, Turing makes everything smooth. At the moment, Turing developers are paid in U.S. dollars through the Deel platform that provides extremely fast and smooth payouts. It also allows you to withdraw your salary through the many supported payment options — including bank transfer to your local bank as well as Payoneer, TransferWise, Coinbase, etc.

You will receive a Deel invite link where you’ll need to sign up and verify some of your personal information to receive payments. After that, you will sign a remote work agreement that outlines your contract with Turing, along with other information like your payment rate.

If you face any issues during the payment process, our team will always be at your service.

Which date of the month will I get paid?

Salaries at Turing are generally processed before the next payment cycle begins. So, Turing consistently clears your salary on or before the 1st of every month. Depending on your withdrawal method and bank, developers around the world usually receive the salary in their local accounts within 1 to 10 working days.

Will I be taxed twice, once by Turing and then my home country?

Turing does not deduct any tax while transferring your salary. You will be paid your entire amount via bank transfer. However, you might need to pay taxes according to your country’s tax laws. Also, your bank might charge you a small amount as a transaction fee.
