Before talking about how to update your availability, let's understand what it means and why it matters.
Why do I need to update?
Turing has over 600.000 developers applied to our network, however, that doesn’t mean everyone is actively looking for work. In order to send the right opportunities to the right developers, our AI matching system considers your availability status and when you last updated it. By updating your “availability” you express interest in working with Turing clients. As long as you are interested in new offers from Turing, please make sure to update your availability every week. This will bump you on the search results and put you in front of recruiters sooner.
How can I update my availability?
To change/update your availability, just log in to your Turing profile and check the top-left hand corner (right below Turing’s logo in your developer account). You will find your current availability status here.
If you want to change your availability, just click on the availability status. This will open a pop-up where you can update whether or not you are available for a possible interview in the next 30 days.
Once you’ve selected your current status, update the necessary information regarding the kind of job you seek and how soon you can start if selected.
After updating this information, click on the ‘save’ button at the bottom right corner of the pop-up. And just like that, your availability is updated instantly in Turing's matching system.
