Understanding Application Review Status and Timelines

If you have submitted an application and are wondering about its status or when you can expect a response, this article outlines what to expect during the review process and how to get help.

Application Review Timeline

The review process can range from 48 hours to 6 weeks from the time you complete your application, depending on client feedback and the volume of applications received.

Due to the high volume of applications, not all candidates will receive a notification if they are not selected for the next steps. If you have not heard back within 6 weeks of completing your application, this typically indicates that you were not selected for the position.

If your application status still shows "In Review" after 6 weeks, you can contact support to check on the status. When reaching out, provide your job title and the date you submitted your application to help expedite the inquiry.

You can monitor your application status directly through your dashboard at https://work.turing.com/dashboard/applications under Applications then Submissions. If your candidacy is not selected, your application status will be updated from "In Review" to reflect the final decision. Applications you were not selected for will also appear in the Archived Applications section under the Jobs page.

When checking your application status, you may see the following values:

  • Pending Review — Your application and tests have been received and are under review; no decision has been made yet

  • In Review — The review process is actively in progress

  • Shortlisted — You have passed the initial screening

  • Selected for Job — The client has made a final decision to move forward with your candidacy.

Feedback on Application Decisions

Individualized feedback explaining why an application was not selected is not provided, due to the nature of the evaluation process.

What Happens If You Are Not Selected

Not being selected for a current opportunity does not mean you are out of consideration entirely. Our team will continue working to identify new opportunities that align with your skills and experience.
